At least according to some national newspaper (according to the Gazette and Herald which doesn't name the paper and I can't be bothered to search for it as I'm sure someone else will):

http://www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/sport/10260238.McCrory_reacts_to_reports_Di_Canio_set_to_sue_club/

EDIT: seems it's in the Sun. So probably bullshit. As you were

Get the impression that Jed would be disappointed if this is true.

Non-story in my eyes.

If his lawyers are sane, they'll tell him to stop being silly. But then, he's probably looked long and hard for lawyers who're as mad as him.

Still, if he threatens to sue the club and in return the club threaten to complain to the police about aggravated trespass, burglary and criminal damage, I'm guessing I know what will happen…

To what aim? (Other than money) He'll just be harming those that DID support him - the fans. If true this is very disappointing... He doesn't need the money or moral high ground so why not just walk away?

Oh and Phil Spencer is a cunt.

If true, it confirms what a spiteful, self-obsessed prick Di Canio is.

What I don't understand is, Di Canio apparently resigned on the Tuesday before the Tranmere game and then negotiated a short term contract afterwards that then expired once the deadline that he set had passed. Surely the new contract would have nullified any previous contract. And, it would be surprising if the new Board had left a clause in it leaving them open to this sort of thing…..

Di Canio is certainly doing his best to make himself unemployable by clubs in the future.

he does seem to have a need to be right, to have the last word and to be justified in everything he does.

It doesn't, not in this instance. Aggravated trespass was the legislation brought in to try and combat hunt saboteurs. It elevates the simple (civil) act of trespass into a criminal offence when the person(s) trespassing do so with intent to disrupt a lawful activity (i.e. hunting). It wouldn't apply here, even though it sounds like it might. Classic case of sounding like you know what you're talking about Smiley (Not you Fred)

Well to be fair I think his broad thrust (that if Di Canio genuinely was daft enough to sue, the club would have plenty of counterexamples to go at) was broadly accurate.
