I know that Paolo and him didn't get on, but as the players are already in turmoil then an outside face isnt a bad thing,

Did Di Canio do something to turn the team against him?

We said the same last night, seems strange he's not providing some input.  He was there with the youths, but sat in the Arkells stand as he usually does.  I wonder if he said he didn't want to be involved?

If Bodin is still here next season I will be surprised.

I wont. Considering he rode it out for a season and a half whilst being shunned shows he has character.has no reason to leave now

I was thinking this earlier, would it not have made more sense to put PB in charge on a caretaker basis for a few games?

Or is this idea pure folly?

I would guess that if - as it seems - that he's been excluded from first team affairs under Di Canio that the thinking was Millard would have a better knowledge of the group/existing tactics.

Not that I disagree with you, purely for the point as raised by Arriba and others that having two managers and a captain on the pitch would intuitively lend itself to confusion, and having someone controlling things from the dugout would seem a necessity.

It will be interesting to see what the outcome of this meeting of the braintrust this afternoon is.

Or that he has a large salary that he can't match elsewhere.

Think he could have earned more at Torquay as no2 to Ling.

You'd have thought he'd be on the bench instead of Pitman... any chance he refused to?

This is my suspicion.  Did Di Canios falling out with Bodin filter through to the players view of him?

Or could he just not be fucked.

If what the new board say about youth development etc is true the Bodin could have quite a part to play in the future of the club.
