It's not really been baffling, but with the NDA in place there has been a period when we didn't really know what was happening and the detail of the underlying causes; still don't entirely but enough to make sense of it all.
The last 18 months  have been such an enjoyable time to be a Swindon fan and we all know that it's not sustainable to repeat this in today's world where money talks so loudly. So, it's natural that much of the sentiment is negative, as the circus that has entertained us so much has left town. It's a bit like when you've had a great holiday and need to go back to everyday life.

I do get that but these next 13 games could eclipse the last 18 months. We are 13 games away from being in the championship. Our immediate focus should be that,a new manager does not need everyone banging on about pdc or people constantly moaning about the new board.I just dont get why people are happier moaning than enjoying one of our best periods on the pitch in a long time

I'm not so sure, he sounded knowledgeable in the past, more recently he is edging towards cantankerous

I'm used to getting slagged off for expressing views which may not be to everyone's taste on here, but will nevertheless continue to call it as I see it.

You carry on as you wish, reg. That's what this place is about aint it? Expressing opinions and debating them.

It's fear of change. We all thought we knew where we were before and were loving it. Now much more uncertainty has been thrown in. It's natural reaction to change and different people deal with it different ways.

It is. I see it as a kind of extension of the pub...spent much of the last couple of evenings, discussing matter STFC with various fans, lapsed fans and neutrals, and everyone has an opinion, or wants to know wtf is going on. Just like on here.

Always thought it was a bit harsh that the Samaritans didn't have a freephone number.

DRS asked you what I thought was an interesting question Reg, which I assume you chose to ignore namely....when was the last time you predicted a win or posted about how much you enjoyed a game.

You are right of course, this is a forum for people to express their views. I get the feeling though that you seem to really enjoy predicting the worst possible, most dire scenario for the Club. In any given situation, there is always a best possible scenario and a worst possible scenario. When you think about it, those are usually the two least likely scenarios. The actual outcome almost always lies somewhere between the two but you never seem to consider that.

And as this is a forum and everyone has a right to their opinions, surely it stands to reason that everyone has a right to disagree with other peoples' opinions as they see fit? I don't think anyone has slagged you off and I hope you don't think that I have. Please don't take it personally as I'm sure if I was to ever meet you I can imagine spending many entertaining hours in your company getting very drunk, swapping STFC stories and you regaling me with tales of when you saw Harold Fleming make his debut and so on Cool

Didn't answer, because I don't know...I take no pleasure in mentioning that things might not be working out as hoped, in fact quite the opposite. I only want what is best for STFC.

IMO age and experience generally brings with it a healthy degree of cynicysm, especially with regard to STFC,

I generally give more consideration to Regs posts than I do to some on here who are often reminiscent of enthusiastic young puppys pissing over the kitchen floor in their earnest excitement at living the Paolo dream without ever considering the consequences for the club in the longer term.

There seems to be some sort of anti-cynicism movement. You can be as positive as you like but it will probably end up shit.

Fitton and co were supposed to deliver investment towards sustainable football, they ended up doing a play-off final better than the greek crook and his house building in the head chum, with the smoking chimp doing his best.

STFC still exists, lets have some ups and downs and excitement, but please let it be about the club and not some loudmouthed fascist dick.

Always and without fail, predicting the worst possible scenario for the Club goes way beyond 'healthy degree of cynicism.' I'm not saying Reg is always wrong, far from it but he most certainly is not always right either. It would just be nice, ever so occasionally, to read that he had actually enjoyed a game or to see him predict a win, just to provide a little bit of balance. That wouldn't turn you into a happy clapper Clap Reg.
