SWINDON Town have appointed Michael Peacock as interim Fitness and Conditioning Coach.

Peacock joined Town players and staff at the training ground today and will be part of the backroom team for Saturday’s home game with Preston North End.

Having joined STFC on an interim basis, the 28-year old will continue his role as Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for The Injured Jockeys Fund where over the last 9 months he has led some key pieces of work including the development of an academy for apprentice and conditional jockeys.

Lisa Hancock, Chief Executive of the Injured Jockeys Fund commented: “This is a hugely exciting opportunity for two local sporting organisations to work closely together for mutual benefit and support.”

Peacock has previous experience in a variety of sports and spent some time with League One side Leyton Orient.
