A similar thing happened with Lou Macari when he was sacked and then after fans protests and talks with the owners he was reinstated as manager after 4 days.
Yes it was different circumstances but nothing can be ruled out, although I would think it probably won't happen its just wishful thinking.

very different circumstances given that Macari was sacked and re-employed by the same people, in our current predicament our manager has walked and not sure who would be responsible for re-employing him!
