Newell did a good job at Luton, I don't see the problem with him until the end of the season

Just as a matter of interest Sam, who do you think will get the job and who would you like?

If it's out of Wright and MacDonald I would rather Wright because of the publicity, he probably knows a lot of people too. I don't think I could handle another dour Scotsman, we've had far too many.

a non-dour Scotsman is as rare as a German with a sense of humour

Think it will depend a lot on whether they want someone short term or long term.
JFH or Wright would make more sense long term, MacDonald would be a good option till the end of the season.

Would rather Wise than MacDonald/Wright if those bookies odds for the final 3 are correct.

Macdonald, it's MacDonald!
Yay! For this reason alone we should appoint him! We will have continuity amongst fans in idiots not being able to spell his name! I don't care who he is, what he's done, but I want 'MacDonald its MacDonald!'

Everyone knows that Poyet was the brains behind that duo, Wise was just the pubic (for flashheart) public face.

Quite the opposite in my opinion. Our success under Di Canio came about because he was a top coach who drilled the players relentlessly, sought perfection and understood the game, not because he was an extrovert. It is the former of his character traits that we most need to replicate in his successor, not the latter. I don't mind if his replacement is an extrovert, but he must foremost be someone who thinks deeply about the game and can get enough of his knowledge across to the players to succeed. I am not convinced Ian Wright thinks deeply about very much.
