Bit of a bugger Green is set to go to MK instead due to this football league non-ratification issue. I think a winger is our biggest priority for this emergency loan window with Ritchie gone and L. Rooney soon to follow. Hopefully Phil Spencer is already looking elsewhere.

Is that because of the Phil Spencer link?

I wouldn't mind someone coming in to create a bit of competition, but I've liked the look of Roberts in the last couple of games. Think he's more effective on the right, and he'll get better with a run of games.

When De Vita got taken off at half time on Tuesday did Williams or Rooney go onto the wing?

I haven't seen a lot of Rooney but I would say from my position high up in the DRS, Williams has the pace and a little bit of trickery to be able to do a decent enough job on the left wing. Against Shrewbury he had their RB tied up in knots on occasion.

We sort of played 3 up front, with Williams on the right of Collins and Rooney on the left.

I would have thought that Williams would have been perfect for the wing if needed, having started his career there and he plays the channels really well and has loads of pace.

Agree with that, running from deep suits his game play down to a tee. Would imagine he would thrive on balls being slipped through the full back & the centre half by Ferry. Always remember him tearing Lescinel Jean Francois to bits away at Rovers in 09/10 (although to be fair Lecsy never really was a l/b)

I have only seen him on the TV game against Creepy recently so cannot comment really on that because the pitch was so shit it would have slowed down Usain Bolt to a crawl.

Virus. At orient he went past their right back, and i swear it's the fastest I've ever seen a man go past someone from a standing start.
