They're journalists... of course they put sensational spin on things or blow things out of proportion, it's what journalists do and editors demand. I can't say either bother me too much.

I don't really get the Morsehead/Wise hatred myself.
Nor me. There's a section of our fans (it seems to have developed over the last couple of years) who are viscerally intolerant of almost any word of criticism of the club, the manager, the chairman etc etc and react like religious fundamentalists to even the merest hints of anything other than unstinting praise. Even, in the case of when Sam Morshead was getting his worst houndings, when the reporters weren't even criticising, they were just reporting what was being said and were then getting slated for not censoring it or dressing it up a little better.

It's a trend that's especially worrying at a time when we may well need local reporters to be digging around uncovering uncomfortable truths

In all seriousness, I don't use twitter but I've recently been keeping an eye on Sam morshead's twitter and the guy is pretty on the ball and seems to work bloody hard.

I think its just poor, or possibly just shows how better others are. Wise today trying to get Paolo wound up about Ritchie just illustrated the point, a good journalist gets the story by knowing their topic and subtle questions not by being snotty and rude.

On similar basis, does anyway listen to FiveLive - what's Pat Murphy problem with Lambert, he may have a point but his questioning is embarrassing and rude!

Unfortunately sometimes the truth hurts and the bearer of bad news is the one who takes the brunt. Agree with Bob, it looks like Morshead has been working hard to bring us breaking news good or bad.

If that's the interview I heard the other night, I was quite surprised at his directness but I actually found it very refreshing. I don't remember all of it but he said at one point, "Well Paul, Villa were rubbish in the 1st half weren't they?" or something along those lines - very un-BBC. Good though.

No one can't question the effort of Morshead, he seems to work ridiculously long hours.

He is an invaluable resource to us, as were the Gary Rose's of the world

He is a very dour Scot for sure. He also sounded like a man who didn't have the faintest idea what to do and didn't really believe he could turn things round.
