It should be as prominent as the original piece which it clearly is not.

Not really, 95% of people who buy this paper wont give a shit about this

All this talk of a crusade against insolvency is a sack of shit and misdirection. If so, it would have mentioned other clubs and included Town within the wider piece not have the whole fucking article about the Town. Also, it was based on one comment taken out of context. The guy si a fucking pillock and the editor is no better.
Its nothing to do with over enthusiasm and crusades - its about a journalist and editor fucking up in a libellous manner and then trying to get out of the shit, they created by their own stupidity and shodinness.
Totally agree

That may well be true but is hardly the point.

In fairness I'm happy with the retraction and the size as the apology is about as big as I've seen before. It'll do. Maybe, just maybe Dunlavy might be a bit more diligent in future.

They've been good to us for the last few years, we get lots of coverage in there. He fucked up and has apologised, good enough for me.

It's an apology under pressure, nothing more and a hollow one to save their arses from getting sued

No, it takes the real threat of a hiding in the libel courts......in this case.
