McEveley hails Italian medic

JAY McEveley is convinced he would not have been able to make such a prompt recovery from knee surgery had he not received treatment at the Villa Stuart rehabilitation centre in Italy.

"Uh, Doc, why can I see my kneecap?"

"EEESA FINE, is supposed to be like that!"

"Okay, but what... uh, aren't you supposed to have given me post op meds or something?"

"Nahhh, lika my mother always say, what doesn't kill you only maka you stronger!"

On a slightly more serious note, this is the kind of thing that is a direct reason why Paolo has made our club better- the ability to use a really top-class Italian clinic, which if Paolo's BBC column is to be believed the club can use mostly for free because he gave them his image rights, is DIRECTLY linked to the fact he's a well-known face.

Great stuff. It's good to see footballers getting proper treatment, and at the right time. There are too many cases of people ruining their knees/ankles/legs just to play one or two more years in the sport.

Feels like these stories are in relation to Paul Caddis' comments about how he was repaired at Birmingham
