Bit of a bind not being able to celebrate our goals properly, but better than not being there at all.

My Hereford-supporting mate came with me into the Town End for the match that ended 3-3 last season.

I thought I'd have to tie him to the fucking floor when the third Hereford goal went in. I have never seen someone disregard their own personal safety to celebrate a goal quite so much.

My worst (best?) away end game was the 4-3 win at Twerton Park in 1992.  We went 4-1 up at one point...and the locals around me (and my Rovers supporting mate) were practically in tears.  And then they got 2 late goals.  Very nervy final few minutes.  It was just after the back pass rule had been introduced, and I'm sure one of their goals was following a free kick after  Fraser had handled a back pass in his area.

A great open game. Will be very tough but can see us sneaking it. Also hope Martin starts and scores.

Yeah it was. Paul Hardyman booted the ball into the net from the freekick about 3 yards out

Bournemouth would be nothing without that russian fella.

I used to like the days when they used to nearly go bust every week

Twerton Park was a fucking horrible little ground.

So you'd drop the in-form Collins or Williams for someone who's yet to score? I'd hope Paolo doesn't drop either if them for Martin.

From what I've seen with Martin he's the best support striker we have, in a game like this where we won't make as many chances as we usually do at home, I think it would be useful to start him.

I feel this too but you can never take into account the Paolo factor.

Waterlogged pitch isn't it?

Must be a possibility of ours being in doubt due to the heavy rain in the south.

I'm 7 miles east of Pompey and it hasn't stopped raining all day. I have doubts about the town game going ahead.

There's always that. I do have a feeling Ferry won't be starting though, although saying that he was taken off to save him in the last game wasn't he?

In which case he's bound to start, along with Hollands, who's also bound to score against his former club. Cue Paolo to start with Navarro and Miller in the middle!

I was at that one, but I thought we lost 4-3. Expect I'm wrong, as I'd taken an overnight ferry from Ireland and driven from Fishguard.
