To be fair to 4D with my mortgage and bills i spend just over £12k a year - yes that's London prices but it's just for me, not a family etc so he's not far off the mark for a family or couple in Swindon.

Any guidance on what we'll get clobbered for gas/electric, council tax and water would be appreciated.

Just helping KR out, I know he only wanted to know the utilities cost, I was looking at the bigger picture. Smiley

No FH, never serious.

Haha Sonic, I often feel like that.

Thanks for the heads up

Whatever they are they can't be more expensive than Ireland.

Electric 70 pm
Wood pellet CH 160pm
Coal 60 pm
Petrol 400pm
Car Insurance 100pm (for 2 vehicles)
Car Tax 800pa (for 2 vehicles)

And dont get me started on groceries

I feel we should probably hear a little bit more about the groceries.

1.58 per litre petrol

1.50 per litre diesel

that's about £1.35 and £1.30
