Evening,

Trying for tickets tomorrow for the Ashes match at Lords.  For a man who enjoys a pint, which stand would you recomend, or should be avoided (eg are there any dry stands?).

Cheers.

I sat in the lower covered part of the Mound Stand when I went and it was fucking freezing even on a pretty warm day.

Donkey, ballot is open tomorrow and you won't find out until the end of Jan I believe if you're successful or not in trying to get tickets. Having never been to Lords myself I will also be trying for tickets! If I get through I'll be trying for Mound Stand or the nursery end upper.

All stands are brilliant.

I always go in the upper Compton, try to get near the middle and you are just to the side of the bowlers arm.
Bitter is mainly Marston Pedi, charging £4 a pint, which is not bad these days.
You can take in two cans per person or a bottle of wine, I always go for the latter.
Luckily I have friends who are members so already have my tickets guaranteed for Friday and Saturday.
Saturday tickets will be very hard to get, go for Sunday or Friday.

Cheers Dell. We've gone for the Thursday, not sure which stand (Mrs Donkey did it at work).
