One of the 5 I applied for and a few of my friends go there.

Very good Uni, top 20-ish overall, no idea about the Pysch department but the SU is bloody good, they get some very good bands playing there. Cardiff is a lovely city too.

My cousin went there, she seemed happy with the whole experience.

Got a few mates up there and it seems like a great uni! As already mentioned the SU is very good and nights out in Cardiff are a must!

Very good uni according to the league tables as well

It was my first choice to do law, sadly I didn't get the grades but a great university! SU bar decent, accomodation modern and one of the best around!

Believe they have a campus in Trefforest (birthplace of Tom Jones), just outside Pontypridd, as I passed through on my way to Cardiff from Merthyr Tydfill. She'll want to avoid being shunted out there, although in reality it'd be easily commutable on a daily basis by rail.

My sister studied English there, she was initially based at Sengenedd (?) Halls, very central, well equipt. She's currently working as a buyer for a major supermarket chain so it certainly didn't do her employment prospects any harm. She often referred to Cardiff as a "small city" and I always disagreed with this comment, because so far as i'm concerned it is fairly substantial!

That's University of Glamorgan.

There's also a Cardiff Metropolitan University (aka UWIC) which isn't located in the most convenient or nicest of places.

Yeah I went there - finished in '03. Cracking city and perfectly good uni and as said previously a top notch SU. The city's small enough to be able to walk easily from halls to uni and to town yet has everything you could possibly want in a city. Loved all 3 years.

The whole of the Bay area has been renovated since I was there too which is another plus.

Not sure if it's still the same (think it is) but Talybont is definitely the best halls to stay in if you can choose. There's one halls way away from all the others and up on the top of a hill so is a nightmare to get back to from anywhere so best to try to avoid that if poss.

Yeah I probably did. I studied Accounting after all - irresistable to most women.

I went there myself. Graduated in 1999 ended up staying until about 2001. Only moved back to Swindon because work dried up.  Great place to study and is certainly excellent for a night out.
