I remember a loanee striker who failed to impress in his first few appearances and was given a few pelters on here and elsewhere. Think his name was Simon Cox?

Paolo's comments are hardly OTT, fairer and much more tame than I'd expected.

Can't be bothered to read it again, but, on Saturday,  I thought he was making the point that the next 2 weeks would give him the opportunity to make sure that the loanees knew what he expected. They were both a little more gifted than some of the players that PDC is trying to develop (Martin being more clinical and Hollands more creative) and he hoped that combining that class with the fitness regime and strategy that PDC employs would help both the team and the individual loanees secure a successful future.

I think that when PDC feels the loan players are not up to it or won't buy in, he isn't hard on them. They just disappear from sight or return to their club. (e.g. Tehoue disappeared & Coke went away)

He's at Preston and probably injured.
