Erm, yeah....I was thinking more of sitting around the table with family, telling everyone what you're thankful for....but the all-day eating, drinking & (American) football goes down well, too...and then 4 weeks later, you do it all over again!

This is the thing, unless you hide yourself away within a couple of weeks we'll all be surrounded by lights, jingles and everything that is connected to Christmas. The 1st of December is early enough as it is but at least we'll be in the right month then.

I can handle the in-your-face commercialism of it. After all the retailers and advertisers just want you to buy their products.

It's listening to all of the dickheads that fall for it which infuriates me. As soon as the Coca-Cola lorry advert starts getting played a lot of people go crazy for it and will proclaim that this means it's now officially Christmas. The 'holidays' may be coming, but the spastic brigade has already arrived.

Surely everybody knows Christmas officially starts the first time you hear Fairytale of New York on the radio.

We've got a decorator in at work at the moment, not only is it bad enough that he's brought his radio with him and it's currently tuned to Heart FM; they're constantly playing C*****mas songs.

The (only) good thing about being single & living abroad, one does not need to buy any Christmas presents  Smiley
