Saw the goals last night on Sky. As has been said on here, all 3 of Villa's goals were clinical, Agbonloahor's finish looked like it almost took the net out! Storey's second goal was a sublime finish, I guess aided by his bundled first, he must have been on cloud nine!! Sadly Benteke was given far too much time and room in the last minute and showed a calm finish. A few people on here said he was crap before the game, but I think he'll be a decent striker for Villa this season.

For us, another great cup evening, despite the result! Hopefully another one to come on Saturday!

Watch Mr DiCanio at the end:

Surely he'll get in trouble for this eventually.

Reading fans at 4-0 up last night were chanting 'are you Swindon in disguise' to arsenal fans. Stick that in your cake holes you plastic pricks!

For those of us that thought he would change and become slightly less antagonistic should he ever make it at a higher level, there's your answer! Apparently he was suggesting our fans were better...

Enjoyed that, despite the result. And to think we could have nicked it at the end too....

Very impressed with Williams when he came on, seems to have intelligence and pace. Guessing we've missed him badly over the past few weeks.

Need to get to the CG more often.

No sound but Storey's 2nd is a beauty

Watching those cunty Villa fans at the end celebrating like they'd won the lottery, world cup and Ashes all in one summed up how fucking bad their season is gonna be.

Thought we were quite good but defensively appalling. De Vita is not a full back.

Paolo restored some of my love at the end mugging off the Villa Cheesy

Good job he played on the wing then.

They've won the European Cup for fuck's sake. If I was a bored billionaire I'd have a look at Villa.

And thats was when - 30+ years ago. Smashing.

Oh and Gabby Agbonlahor giving it the big one against a league one side. Well done Gabby. Found your level at last.

Sweet merciful jesus I agree with an IOB post

Just thought I'd say what a welcome change to have a top ref in charge of last nights game.
Made the two bookings in the first half and apart from that let the game flow.
Great job, oh well, next Saturday, back to the normal dross, controversial, blind fucker in the middle.

Changed trains at Reading on the way back home and found myself surrounded by bemused Arsenal fans who couldn't quite believe what they had just seen at the Madejski.  Smattering of shell shocked Reading fans as well.  I had my very stylish retro red & white scarf with me (birthday present from Mrs Ardiles) and got mistaken for one of their lot, despite the fact I was reading a copy of the Adver with a massive picture of PDC on the back.  They were pleasant enough with it though, so I couldn't be bothered to correct them.

Was it was you who left the London contingent at Reading Ardiles? If so i seem to remember you promised to give it bigsticks to the Reading and Arsenal. Such a let down :-)

Better. I agree in that case. He does try his best though does Joe. Our slowest player against their quickest was always going to be something of a mismatch mind.

Oh and one final thing tonight. I'm fucking sick of my ST card never scanning in the turnstiles. Such a shite system. Nearly got refused entry tonight even though i'd paid for this game all because the card wouldn't scan properly. It takes about 2-3 attempts at all league games but they normally give up and let me in. Given it was a cup game tonight the girl on the gate wasn't going to do that. She had to suffer my abusive language before letting me through. I'm all for the cards but it would be nice if they worked.
Same. Took me about 10 tries before it flicked green.

Mine was doing that from the start of the season, took it back into the ticket office on the advice of the turnstile bloke and have had it reprinted.  Took about a month to get it back and was sent paper tickets in the meantime, but have had no problems since.
