Could not be more proud tonight, and I now think Villa are a complete bunch of wankers, going to a third division club and letting off flares to celebrate a goal and acting like it was the champions league final, I really hope they get relegated.

A big word for Williams as well. We've missed him badly in recent weeks. He came on and changed the game with 2 assists.

You'll have to excuse the fact I haven't read the thread, I'm disappointed but not gutted with the result and had a great night regardless. I Got to shake Wrays hand before KO and tell him what a decent bloke he is. He was sat in front of us and believe me he jumped up higher than anyone when we scored our 2nd! Agbonlahor is a twat and what respect I had for him has now gone,Made himself look a right Cock but it was made worse by the ref not even having a word with him. Could of done without the bottle throwing though, thought we were trying to save money. Bit of a kick in the balls to concede so late but so proud to follow Swindon.

It's interesting how people see a game.  This is the comment a friend of mine made on my fb status.

'Swindon were outclassed the whole time.  Villa may be bottom of the premiership, but they could knock back that rubbish attacking all day long.  I was supporting Swindon, but they'll need to be better than that if they want to be a championship squad next season'

I totally disagree with all of this and told him so, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm a bit blinkered by the last 15 minutes or so?

I'd hate to be a Villa fan - what is the point ? Doing fuck all year after year after year. Just making up the numbers in the PL.

Proud to be a Town fan.

That's the same with 90% of the PL, what exactly do Fulham, Villa et al offer?

Oh and one final thing tonight. I'm fucking sick of my ST card never scanning in the turnstiles. Such a shite system. Nearly got refused entry tonight even though i'd paid for this game all because the card wouldn't scan properly. It takes about 2-3 attempts at all league games but they normally give up and let me in. Given it was a cup game tonight the girl on the gate wasn't going to do that. She had to suffer my abusive language before letting me through. I'm all for the cards but it would be nice if they worked.

Same. Took me about 10 tries before it flicked green.

Think she tried mine about 5 times to be fair to her. It wasn't exactly her fault but it just pisses me off as it's not just the once but pretty much every game this season.

We did very well to come back and the last quarter of the game was superb, but up until then I thought we were average, with only Miller, Ritchie, Ferry and Collins having good games. Then it all clicked into place when the subs were made. Williams didn't look 100 per cent, but rather than rely on raw pace, tonight he showed a bit of inventiveness. De Vita was immediately more direct and threatening than Roberts (who I hope turns into the player we know he can be...he just hasn't really shown up for us yet). Storey had some good touches and looks strong and quick. I say play him whilst he's on a roll, don't hold him back.

Villa looked like a team of decent  players playing without confidence or cohesion. Weimann looked very good particularly - everything went through him. Ultimately, I think they'll scrape survival, but I wouldn't put it beyond the realms of possibility to see them back next year.

Your defiantly not the only ones with ST not scanning, Very rarely does it work first time and often takes several goes, Its not all bad though, the girl on the turnstile quite often says " Just slide it in and wiggle it about  " we try to stick to that turn style but not sure why  Wink

First half I'd have agreed with the above, our final ball/shot was disappointing. We worked hard to contain Villa without throwing caution to the wind.

Second half I'd totally disagree with the above, we were the better team. We broke Villa down time and time again, and they also contributed to their own near demise with some woeful passing as we pressed. Its fair to say their attack looked more cutting in accuracy and execution, but we are a third division team -what did said person expect a comparison to show?

Yes we'd need to be more clinical in the championship, and tighter at the back. So in that respect our squad isn't championship standard right now. But again, did they expect us to be?

I wasn't at the game, but in the interest of some balance, I think those saying we battered them are possibly being a bit blinkered. At times in the second half we put a lot of pressure on, but even on the radio it was clearly a close game, and we seemed a close second best in the first half.

The guy saying we were outclassed the whole time also seems to have a very one-sided view of the game though, even if he does claim to have been supporting Town tonight!

My worry was conceding a third after the re start and the game just pittering out as a contest, we always have at least a ten minute spell when attacking the town end (  it's tradition ) it's just whether we can score during that spell that often makes the difference. They gave us the respect we have earned this season and because of that they got themselves a place in the next round.
