A few good points made by Paolo. All those saying, 'you bought the players, you have a massiv budget' etc etc, should really start looking at the bigger picture. Yes he has spent a lot of money on 4-5 half decent players, but remember our squad also contains L2 standard and to get the back to back promotion everyone is talking about, takes more than what we have atm. It's only being brought to light by PDC, because he knows the plan. And that's to go up next year. To do that we need better players and options to cover injured players - which in turn means spending more cash, end of.

Who were signed by Paolo, along with a lot more who werent even good enough for League 2. There are many ways to make a team better, signing a shed load of players is only one of them. Paolo wont have a successfull managerial future unless he learns this.

As we comfortably won the division last year, I'd suggest we had better than league 2 players. We've shipped out a lot of the ones who could be truly described as 'league 2 standard' Also, if we had better players to cover injuries, we'd have dissatisfied players who would want away to get regular game time.

So it's good for club harmony that we have a few average players on the books, to keep the good ones happy?

That would explain why Shola Ameobi has been a Premiership footballer for the last 12 years (one season excepted...)

So what's the solution? Where has it gone wrong?

What's gone wrong? We're 7th, in a cluster of teams from about 3rd to 9th on similar points and in the 4th round of the cup. Not exactly panic stations required, just improving a bit here and there and to start aiming just inside the post rather than at it.

There is a side of me that thinks the rate at which we are trying to race up the leagues is the problem. Last year paolo totally rebuilt the team and getting those players to hell was a hard task at first. Thankfully things went according to plan. If we used those same players again we may well have been finding ourselves at the wrong end of the table. But by Paolos own admission he admitted that some of those players would not have joined us on year deals. So some have been let go, too cheaply in my opinion, and others loaned out. The few remaining were kept in the hope of being able to step up. Some have done ok and others have faultered. Now league one is harder and the task of going up again, coupled with the fact that basically a whole new squad has been assembled, makes it a tough task and we must still remember pdc is a new coach. We are still in touch with the too of the table and it will o my take a little run for us to be challenging seriously again. Pdc's downfall is his lack of discipline with the media and airing his dirty laundry in public. I've tried not to let it get to me as one week we are Barcelona the next chiwowas. That's pdc. Generally things are still very positive and I can't wait for a lot of this negativity has ended. Things are not that bad. Can't wait for Williams to be back. And also a shame about Luke Rooney u hope he comes good again.

8 point behind the leaders, not much going wrong on the pitch really.....match sell out v Villa. Fact is there is not really that much wrong with the club on and off the pitch....PDC is a drama queen at times which keeps us as fans on our toes,a win at Stevenage and us tanking Villa to reach the last eight will have us thinking......what the fuck is wrong

The biggest drama queens at the club atm are the fans.

Yep. Some utter cocks on twitter. I wonder what the board really think of PDC's shenanigans? Do they get all melodramatic like the fans (and Paolo), or do they just roll their eyes up at him?

Since when has one or two people moaning on twitter been 'the fans'?
