 Huh?

I see our tea has gone up 20p.

Didn't some Boremuff fans moan about the price of our tickets? Yet they are the most expensive in league one according to this report!

So despite the whinging twats from other clubs, our £25 a ticket isn't actually the most expensive in the league.  And we are the 9th most expensive day out apparently.  Im sure we'll still see regular bitching about it.

Agreed. Still a cheaper day out than Oxford.

£4 for a programme at Dirty Leeds, must be a good read for that price!

We will, because it's still bloody expensive. Just because others are even more expensive doesn't make it any easier to afford. It just makes them even more ridiculous

Don't think Ken's ever been overly concerned about providing value for money Smiley

Im talking about the away fan twats Paul, not our own.

Yes it is too expensive.  But everything is.  The capitalist worlds insistence on growth means that the £4 ticket of 1989 is no longer there.  Unfortunately the bourgeoise have ensured that their riches continue whilst the down trodden proletariat share has grown to a lesser degree, hence the working man being forced out of the working mans game.

Come the revolution........

I was talking about away fans too. Although I don't think people complaining that 25 quid for 3rd tier football is way too expensive are twats. And yes I'm well aware of how inflation works thanks. I'm also well aware of how supply and demand works and lower league football's well on the way to pricing itself out of existence

Touchy today Paul?  I was joking old chap.

Yeah it is all too expensive.  Football has become ridiculous.

What I was trying to point out was fans of other teams having a go at our prices when the price they pay at their home ground is comparable.

Yes as an overview, football is too expensive, we are expensive but not the most expensive and fans of other teams complaining about our prices should have a look at their own clubs.

Not just today, I'm always like that Smiley

I just get a bit p'ed off with people seeming to see it as a club v club thing and that they need to defend their own club's excessive pricing out of sheer loyalty. Which is silly and self-defeating IMO.

Fair dos, although a lot of them probably don't pay their club's quoted price any more than most of us do as, like us, they probably benefit from ST prices, cheap kids' deals etc etc. Most regularly attending fans aren't paying the "headline" price, it only hits the irregular attender which will be away fans and the casual "walk-up" fan. Which is why high headline prices put the brakes on increasing your fanbase (not the only factor obviously but with all other things being equal a high headline price will deter casual attenders). We should all look at our own clubs in fact, because we're all slowly killing mass attendance at football. And yes I know attendances are still pretty good in this country but look at the demographic shift - fans are getting older and better off, where's the next generation coming from?

I broadly agree.  Have to say the clubs junior reds thing is pretty good.  But we'll see over the years.  Football has become so different to what you or I remember and god only know what it is going to go on and become.

True dat. And yes you're right about the Junior Reds thing too. It was a bit of a shock this year when my eldest no longer qualified for the free season ticket  and I had to buy him one as well as mine! He only missed the cut-off date by four days as well!

Looking at the results of that survey there was a noticeable increase in ticket prices (STs and max on the day) from League 1 to Championship, whilst only minor difference between L1 and L2.
If we do achieve the promotion we're hoping for then I guess it will mean we'll be paying a fair bit more for the pleasure.
