It seems as though Stef will be out and Rory will be banned, so who you would pick? I'd play 4-4-2 as below Evans
Jenkins O'Hanlon Ifil Smith
Shakes Whalley Pook Nicolau
Cureton Thorpe
subs: Bulman Lapham Comyn-Platt Caton or Wells Roberts Possibly switch Shakes with Roberts. Alternatively, a 5-3-2 system... Evans
Ifil O'Hanlon Comyn-Platt
Jenkins Nicolau
Pook Roberts Whalley
Cureton Thorpe
subs: Bulman Lapham Nicholas Shakes Caton Roberts would be given a free role in the centre to link up with the strikers, making forward runs into the box and ideally negating the long ball, with Pook and Whalley making themselves available for short passes out from defence. Alternatively, you could drop Roberts and put Shakes in the middle and give Whalley that free role instead, as his passing is supposed to be very good and has looked pretty useful in pre-season. We still need a couple of players...

I like that 4-4-2 formation, simple but affective. Got some strong players there to. Maybe put Charlie in.

Roberts should start, Shakes didn't impress me in pre season.

Roberts didn't look too shabby in the right wing-back position against Crawley in the 3-5-2, although I would still favour Jenks. I would go with your 3-5-2 formation Sonic, although only because I saw Jack Smith as a real liability against Crawley.
It's a good team, but weakish bench and the squad is looking a bit threadbare. I'm hoping when I get back from holiday Swindon will have made a signing or two!

I would certainly go with the first line up of 4-4-2
However that bench looks extremely lightweight, I pray to god Migz is fit for the game...

Its frightening how light weight our side looks......I don't think Reeeeves has really been putting in the work to start yet....but I'd play him just to provide some leadership, if he was fit.

In the cold light of day, the season may come down to how well Pook, Lapham, Caton, and Wells, are able to learn the professional game PDQ. I sincerely hope that Kingy finds a couple more, especially, one for that slot in midfield in front of the defence (Ooooolitt).

I think we may play Evans
Collins O'Hanlon Ifil Smith
Shakes/ Roberts Jenkins Whalley Nicolau
Cureton Thorpe
or could have Collins as centre back instead of Ifil and Pook in midfield. I'd have thought Collins would start anyway he was near ever-present at Wednesday and they got promoted so he must be first choice.

I think Collins will start instead of Ifil now.
