Just watched the BBC 4 Documentory on Jeff Lynne the singer, writer and producer of ELO a group I never really liked when they were in the charts. Must say some of the stuff he was playing with the original keyboard player sounded pretty amazing, might even buy a couple of the old cd's.

Idiot reporters on Sky

One this morning reporting outside the court in Wales saying the suspect was in the dock 'wearing nothing but his clothes'

WTF else would he be wearing

Too numerous to mention really, the Police, Duran Duran I could go on.

There could also be the groups that at the time you thought were brilliant but have turned into dross.

Weird, two bands mentioned already have had the opposite effect on me.
I liked both Manic Street Preachers and Mumford & Sons when they first came out, but cannot stand either of them now.

I always loved The Smiths but there stuff never gets near the stereo now. I am sure a few years down the line they will be back in favour.

Dexys Midnight Runners, omn teh other hand, have come back into favour. The first album in particular is brilliant, but the second is almost as good despite Come on Eileen being played to death over the years.

they've become the worst sort of parody of themselves; a bit like morrissey has.

I haven't heard any of their stuff or seen them in years... I appreciate their early stuff now, when a good 10 years ago they got right on my tits.
