We won the County Cup last season, never expected to as there is a lot of good sides from Swindon in it.
Can't see us doing it again this year.

Who's that for?

Talking of awful pitches, anyone have to play at Brinkworth in their youth (back in the 1980s). The pitch was basically a marked out fields which the cows had been shoo'd off. Cow pats everywhere.

Played on slopey as hell pitches where the slope was so bad it was always worth a go from the touchline that was "up" the hill.

And also played on a school pitch with an oak tree in it. Not the stump, a great big old tree.

Happy days.

Yeah I played there. Had to walk through someone's back garden to get to the pitch? Even by 80s standards, the changing rooms were the worst I can remember - basically a ramshackle garden shed. Happy days

That's the one! But it wasn't the worst changing rooms I've used. One of the Sratton (Ciren) clubs used to play at Kemble, their changing room was a caravan with some sort of lash up shower which looked like a high rise toilet cistern with a Bunson burner under it.

Never understood how the league allowed it.
