I think our fans like to have a good moan. We can't play well every game, we will lose some.

Scunthorpe at home coming up (which I will be going to).

Can't wait to see Prutton and Clarke scoring against us! Sad

I was quite angry last night, 200 mile round trip to watch that crap, but I suppose we have been spoiled over the last year so can't really complain.

Everything has been pretty much covered, but some of fans seem to think that we are guaranteed to win every game 4-0. Yes, it was awful last night, but we are 3 points off the automatics at the start of October, that constitutes a solid start for me.

I really hope the Paolo out comment I heard on the radio last night was tongue in cheek...

Please tell me you've made that up, please...?

Seems pretty common after any defeat, but recent ones have been tongue in cheek. Didn't hear this one though..

I'm sure I remember reading something during the close season about Paolo wanting a Plan B, C & D in order to unlock stubborn defences.

Last night summed up the fact that we certainly don't have any other options. I thought maybe Bostock would have provided a different option, but apparently not. No change in formation, just man for man substitutions.

Thats what is most concerning. Lower league teams are figuring out how to stifle us, and we have no answer to that other than hoof.

Didn't catch the whole txt that was read out but definitely finished with Paolo out. Would be nice to think it was tongue in cheek but I wouldn't put money on it !

Its a bit worrying about the comments I have read about resorting to hoofing the ball. This clearly doesn't work as we aren't setup for that style of football. If its easy for the opposition to pack the midfield and stifle our game, Paolo and chums are going to need to work on the plan to counteract this.

I'm fairly confident he will, as I reckon he is meticulous in his study of the opposition and the like. His ideas will take time though I'm sure.

And you have come to that conclusion after our one match losing streak?

Orient and Colchester have already this season. Ok its hardly time for the big red panic but it does sound like we do need a bit more nous in some situations.

Afraid not, like I said, I hope it wasn't serious but you really can't be sure with some of our fans.

Was going to make a similar point, was just looking at it. We still had 7 shots last night and had 13, 14 and 11 in the previous three league games. More a case of not taking chances on occasion, Collins in particular seems to have had a couple of matches recently where he's hit the woodwork or just missed the target.

A bad day at the office but I don't think symptomatic of any major underlying issues - except maybe that too much chopping and changing isn't always going to work.

I've come to that conclusion after witnessing a very average Colchester side setup to frustrate us, and end up dominating the game because we had no other plan. Everyone around me was saying how similar it was to Orient, another lower league team where we played terribly at home.

Last night was not a game where we didn't take our chances. We had one clear chance all game where Williams shot straight at the keeper after about 7 minutes. That was all.
