Amended the " tread"

Just a thought  Smiley

We saw a few Town fans at the M5 services chatting with some Swansea lot, did one of yours have a Town baseball cap on?

They were just as quiet last season. Mind you, the CG isn't exactly buzzing this season.

Fair comment, good away from home though. Good page write up in today's programme with Brian Williams ( Animal ) Chick Bates and Jimmy Quinn who all also played for the Shrews.

A great day out in the Autumn Sun, beaming down all afternoon and Si Ferry pops up with the winner! Surely there were more than the 870odd quoted as the away figure as well ?!?!

The Brooklands hotel had a shocker before the game, took nearly 30 mins to get a pint...only 3 people behind the bar!

We could have won it by 2 or 3 in the end, Roberts made a difference when he came on at half time and linked up well with Jay Mac...Personally I do worry about Ward, a misplaced pace almost cost us a goal, and I'd like to have seen T A-H continue in there but a clean sheet will tell me different so fair play to him and the backline. Williams was top notch again!

Things heading in the right direction, roll on Tuesday and Col U!

It seemed the Blue and Amber Eric's were only interested when they realised there was enough Old Bill to protect them

In the US of A doing a bit of touring around (east coast Baltimore/Maryland area). Checked Sky Sports Live Scores at mid-day (5.00pm UK time) and was pretty happy with a 0-0. Check into our hotel several hours later and get straight on one of the hotel pc's to find out what happened, only to discover we've won 1-0....happy fucking days and happy birthday to me!!

Why do the fans of every team we beat seem to be under the impression we are over spending and will go bust soon?

didn't get to the game today unfortunately, anyway the point of my post here is to say a bit about ward...

my take on him playing is that whilst alan mac looked brilliant at cb last term he's still learning the trade and it's maybe too much for him to be guiding younger, although more experienced, defenders through games.  we may be using this 6 month loan deal as just that to aid alan mac's development as a defender.

the last few games ward has been the one letting the rest of the defense know where the line was and he's allowed AM to what feels more natural to him and break out a bit more.  we may well see troy come back into the side intermittently over the coming months while alan mac learns to be a proper cb, which to me seems me the most natural pairing we have in there.

as for the result - brilliant.

also the football league has just told me that oxford are now suffering their worst run of form since 1991, just a shame that fatty evans has to benefit from their charity
