Ha!!  Looked on BBC website at 5pm to find we had drawn 0-0.  The TEF was down...so I went back out in to the garden thinking 'got to be happy with a point'.  So imagine my delight when...

Fuck me, I'm happy.

Come on Swindon!  Love football.

And Oxford have made it 6 in a row?!  I'm off to have a giggle.   Grin

Oxfordshire local tv news has just given all the half time results as full time ones - they were excited about Oxford drawing 1-1  Cheesy Cheesy

Well that was fucking bizarre...half watching GSS, with the sound turned down, whilst in and out the lounge...at one point we were 1-0 up, then 0-1 down then 2-2, then back to 1-0 up although I didn't quite believe it as Stelling said some of the final scores would come as a surprise to a few fans...thought it was bound to be us.

Still all's well that ends well...

The game sounded scrappy, would've been happy with a point before kick off. Happy that we got a result today.

Haha, FT scores are right but  league tables on BBC have us up to 3rd, 2 points behind Tranmere having played 10 games.

It isn't that difficult

Good day out today.  Great support from the Town fans and in the end a well-deserved victory.

Brooklands hotel was in a right state - going out of business fast by the looks of it - a Shrews fan told me that the landlord was buying cans from Tesco first game of the season!

The first half was generally forgettable and we seemed to be lulled in to playing their league 2 style football.  Felt for Collins when he skyed the sitter - he seemed to be trying too hard all game and wasn't coping brilliantly with the pressure.

Second half we were all over them and they should count themselves lucky it was only 1 goal.
Williams continues to look brilliant, Roberts caused untold danger on the left wing when he came on and Rooney looked useful linking with Williams & Ritchie later in the game, but the whole team acquitted themselves well.
And who would have thought the goal would come from Simon Ferry? - not that he could really have missed after the well worked movement with Ricthie, Rooney & Williams but great to see him there to put it away.
