It's not on the kerb though, it's on the whole pavement. Is it harmless when there are clearly pedestrians on the path?

Of course. It's not like anyone's taking a chance with their lives. The cars aren't doing 50mph and it's not like drivers have never encountered a pedestrian before or are incapable of seeing them.

Besides on this video it's one bloke and the way I've heard some people talking about it, you'd think he was lucky to escape with his life. Just put up a bigger barrier.

Come on fella, you know that is wrong. Driving on the pavement..! It's laziness. Turn around and follow the diversion. Easy.
Im not saying its right but its trivial compared to some of the issues going on right now.

Driving on the pavement is illegal, whether pedestrians are there or not, whether 1 is affected or 100 makes no difference.

The attitude of "it's ok, no-one got hurt" is a shit one quite frankly.

Car drivers maybe looking out for pedestrians as they are on the pedestrian route but pedestrians won't be looking out for cars. If a car was to hit a pedestrian there's only one winner so why heighten the risk of doing it, oh yeah it's because they're fucking lazy dicks.

Dead right here...unfortunately, there are many lazy dicks who assume that being behind a wheel  gives them some sort of authority over the rest of us....you can see it in the number of people who flout the no driving and mobile phone use laws.
