To be fair, though, PdC is not tolerant regarding attitude - individual mistakes he can accept (up to a point).

The start is no different to last season and I'm sure come the next 2-3 games the team will evolve into what PdC wants and expects.

He has a lot of players at his disposal and I'm not quite sure he knows which is his best XI.

My only criticism, and this is purely as a fan, is why Bostock and Ferry are not 2 of the first names on the teamsheet.

Bostock not coming on at all on Saturday was a bit of a puzzler

Just want to get things straight im not a Di Canio hater but what people should remember he is new to management and he will make mistakes and i believe his recent rants have gone a bit to far and had a negative affect on the team. As someone mentioned about Wray having a word i hope this is the case and hopefully Di Canio can keep shit in house from now on and we can have another great season.

Back from hols and have read most of what has gone on (none of it sounding too great!), but i've not managed to find much on Bessone/Coke/A. Rooney - what are peoples opinions on them all? As exciting as deadline day was, I was of the opinion we'd built a bit of a big squad, and was worried it would unsettle our squad which had gotten off to a fairly decent start. Obviously if they are all much better than what we had then it should be a positive move.

Ferry absolutely has to play, if he doesn't then Bostock as centre-midfield. We need someone in the middle who can actually pull the strings and make things happen....neither Navarro or Miller are that man.

I think Rooney will be Good for us and score goals.  He did look a bit off the pace Saturday but that happens a lot with subs coming into games regardless of their fitness levels. Getting a hard time from supporters on Saturday isn't doing him or the team a lot of good though.

Any twat who booed Rooney sat should be shot. He's only started one game and that was out of position. Ok he wasn't brilliant when he came on Saturday but to give him shit when he's played about 20 minutes in his proper position beggars belief really.

Yeah, that was pretty shameful - two main pockets of Rooney booing/abuse near us in the TE.  Agree, he wasn't brilliant, but who was on Saturday?  Understand that the crowd was mighty pissed off by that point, but what happened to giving people a bit of a chance?  Undeserving scapegoat IMO.

I didn't even think Rooney did that bad, other than scuffing that shot.

I still think he only scuffed the shot because of pressure from the defender, who'd just about put him off balance with a sneaky hand in the back. It would have been a very soft penalty, but I don't really blame Rooney for missing it.

I thought he looked pretty useful. Definitely the best of our 4 strikers on the day.
