Think Silv's a good thing.

Can't have OW now Barry's got off him. Have followed The New One all season so wll be backing him again, maybe with a saver on Zarkander.

That 3.05 is a brutal race, 5 very good horses. I've gone Zarkander but not with any great confidence.

£1 E/W on Colbert Station, Harry The Viking, Sunnyhillboy and Treacle.
£5 win on On His Own.

Last year I bet on four, none of them finished and at least one of them died, so i'm not holding out much hope.

£5 E/W on Rainbow something or other in the National, as recommended by our previous owner. If it places, I may forgive the Ritchie sale.

No bets today from me. Not enough has been done to improve the safety aspect for the horses.
Racing will always have casualties but having a race where it is highly likely to kill some I can't do anymore. I've had a look and nearly did bet but have to stick to my principles.

Aintree's loss is Tesco's gain Arriba.

£2 to win On His Own, I got a hot tip from a(nother) pissed up bloke in the kebab shop last night. He had more sauces than Levi Roots.

It's a given that at least one horse will die and that's the bit I struggle with.

Last year seeing Syncronised being shown the first fence by McCoy before the race and seeing it clearly didn't fancy it and then dying did it for me. The changes that should have been made have not been. If a horse doesn't die it will be a surprise not vice versa. For that reason I can't bet on the national anymore.
Seeing animals die for humans pleasure doesn't sit well with me.

I aint had a Aintree bet all week and would have won a bit if I had. Doh

You should know better. Fool.

If Synchronised didnt fancy it why did he keep on jumping for another 10 fences after AP was off his back?
