It would be ironic, wouldn't it. He's pretty much the first manager I can remember to 'get' or demonstrate that he cares about a local derby. But a defeat tonight would, almost certainly, give him the worst managerial record against them. And I certainly don't aspire to playing them again any time soon.
Spot on.

I worked it out the other day that I have been to 24 Swindon vs Oxford games and never saw us lose, that includes 5 trips to the Manor that includes 16 wins. I have never been to the Kebab stadium though. Wish I was going tonight it has all the hallmarks of being a classic.

Wish I was going tonight it has all the hallmarks of being a classic. When you say a classic, do you mean "a classic ding dong battle between two fairly evenly matched teams, the less talented of which is boosted by a desperate urge to win their cup final" or "A classic rodgering of the sort that will ensure Oxford's home kit features brown shorts next season" ?

I've been to 22 games but my record isn't as good: 10 wins, 4 draws and 8 defeats!

My record is 2 defeats, both last season. Unfortunately can't make it tonight, or should that be fortunately.

I think my all time favourite trip to the Manor was this one, brilliant game with Shearer scoring a couple in a 4-2 victory. Although I really enjoyed the game in 93 we won 1-0 at the Manor when England International Andy Gray was on loan to us from Spurs and seemed more interested in the Spurs score when it came up on the scoreboard during the game than he was in the actual game!
And the game in 93.
As for home games none can beat the game in 97 when we stuffed them 4-1 and Joey Bumchum started crying and was substituted.....happy days.
