Millwall's Ward is on Swindon Town's radar

SWINDON Town are interested in bringing experienced Millwall central defender Darren Ward to the County Ground , the Advertiser understands.

Another cb? dont we need full back cover really? Devera has been solid so far but he's a better cb than fullback, not sure what we gain from getting Ward. Unless TAH is out for ages?

Love the fact that the Adver photographers have taken to skulking around in the bushes outside the CG..is that the only way they can get any news out of the club now Hmmm

That is a wierd one, yes he is experienced and we could do with cover at CB but surely RB cover is more important, I would also think that he would be on fair wages too.

A loan might be a better option.

Good player on his day but is getting on a bit now.

I think PDC has already decided that Devera is our new RB with Thompson and Smith as backup. So with Troy injured and Devera at RB we are actually very exposed at CB

Odd move, but it suggests to me that PDC is happy with Devera at right back in the long term. Risky strategy really as Crawley and Hartlepool were average opposition, and he could come undone against better teams.

Would've liked to have seen a left back, right back, striker or Bostock as the next signing to be honest.

Don't forget vs Brighton...who in all fairness can be classed as "a better team" TBH.

But I agree that RB would be one of the positions that may need strengthening more than CB.

Ridehalgh is out of the equation now as cover as he joined Chesterfield on loan yesterday.
