4 reds in 4 games and the MK forums are putting it down to them being Franchise. Fortunately one of them has his head screwed on but is being shouted down for it.

Another valuable 3 points, and what may turn out to be an early season 6 pointer. Their resilience when down to ten says to me that they won't be far off at the end of the season.

Fantastic first half from RdV, showing technique and confidence that we haven't seen from him before. Maybe it won't be so straightforward for Roberts to get in after all. He does on the left what Ritchie does on the right, in that he can go inside or to the byline. Otsemoboor was stumped. If he can improve his final ball then he will become even more of a threat. He tailed off second half, but overall, a good game.

Miller: my MoM. Everything he did worked. He uses the ball well, simple, uncomplicated, just keeps things ticking. His positioning is good, and he's constantly are aware of what is around him, organising those around him. He closed them down well, put in some great tackles (some of which was wrongly blown up by the ref) and generally marshalled things. A central midfielder in a Di Canio side ever be the fulcrum of the side - our creative play is down either side. If its tenacious battlers with a good level of composure that we are after, Miller is an astute signing.

Williams and Collins: played closer together today than on Tuesday and showed the early signs of an understanding. Here's hoping. Both have a good touch and good pace - especially Williams. Williams won everything in the air. The goals will come - very happy with them both.

Back four was solid, Ritchie his usual threat....onwards and upwards.

Why did people spend the entire game queuing up outside the ticket office?

I think its good when many fans are saying different players were MoM's RdV, Ritchie, Flint, Miller, Williams etc

That shows it was a good overall performance even if the amount of goals in the win wasb't as good as some wanted, a win is a win and another clean sheet....excellent.

Haha! To be honest, reducing them to 10 every week "just for being Franchise" wouldn't be such a bad idea. They have no right to be playing in the FL.

At the end of the day, if you raise an arm to an opponents face you risk being sent off. Ferry didn't make a big deal of it by going down or anything - the linesman saw what Lewington did and gave what all/most officials will give.

McEveley didn't have a great game, hopefully it's just a one-off.

It's not as if he had a Rose-like shocker, just mis-hit a couple of crosses. He was fine defensively.

The first half was a total shitting on summed up by Raffa taking the piss out of their no 17 who must have been twice his size. a lucky goal but we were compeltely different class to them for the first 45. The second half, however, was a different matter. They had a lot more possession but didn't do too much with it. we made a few errors but they didn't seize on them. Fl.int had a  cracking second half more so when Ibere came on for them. Their number 5 was a cheating cunt who every rtime he challenged in the air pushed his man away. The ref was a bit of a cock but the lino on the DRS side 1st half had a shocker.
MOM for me was DeVita but Miller, Ritchie and Flint weren't far away. McEveley has definitely had better days in a Town shirt but he'll be better next game.

A decent write-up on the Franchise OS to be fair, although they made no real comment on the red card incident (link below). However, their manager wasn't happy with it. But I've just had a look on BBC website. Recent headlines include "Franchise boss condemns Alan Smith red card" and "Robinson upset over Gleeson dismissal". So I suppose that's to be expected!

Three points against Franchise is always welcome, and Lewington getting sent off tops the day off. If you give an elbow on a player, you deserve to go. He just didn't need to get involved. 4 off in 4 games takes some doing.

Other than that it seemed the ref came in the Franchise team coach.

First half we pissed all over them and it seemed it was a matter of time before we did. Due to the fact we went in 1-0 up, I think the players thought they could 'coast' through the game as they were down to 10.

Anyway, 4 clean sheets in 4 games is not to be sniffed at, with Big Wes now only conceded 1 goal in 18 League games at the CG.

MoM - Miller.

Was Paul Caddis there again today?

I wonder if he's realised what a mistake he has made...
