Just back.

Probably just about edged that. Very good first half from Town where it could have been two or three nil at the break. The sending off was right in front of me and the correct decision from the referee; Lewington elbowed our bloke and was rightly dismissed. Thought the sending off would change the game and it did with Ritchie scoring from another cross-cum-shot. Expected Town to come out and dominate after the break but it just didn't happen. Have to give credit to Franchise who dug in and battled on, though they were lacking somewhat in the final third. Overall, a good three points and nice to see us up to third in the table - early days yet, but it certainly sends out a message to the rest of the league.

Just got back.

A good 3 points but made hard work of it. Ref spoilt a good game with the sending off but to be fair we should have been a couple up by then any way.

Thought all the new boys did really well. Rafa with a bit of confidence and time on the ball looks a different class compared to last year - very gifted and skillful. Back 4 looked solid and Flint was his usual battling self.

Ritchie wasn't my MOM, I'd give that to Miller.

Angry porn?  Grin

We're now the only team, outside of the Premier League, not to have conceded this season, including all the Blue Square leagues. I know it's only 3 games, but still something to be proud of.

Just about edged it ? their goalkeeper made 3 great saves and we also hit the woodwork where as Wes only had one save to make. Fair play to MK they looked more dangerous second half, but for a 10 minute panic period near the end I thought we looked in complete control.

WTF has happened to the league table on the OS and Sky website?? Apparently we've played another game since the MK game finished, which we won, to put us on to 10 points from 4 games and into second place behind Yeovil, who now have a GD of +10 Huh?

Edit: The BBC site is the same - is it me losing my mind or something??

You must have been at a different game.

We pissed all over them first half and had the better of it in the 2nd. Easy win.

Agreed, that was very comfortable indeed.

It was just a case of whether we we add to the score as opposed to holding onto the lead.

Right, if any Town fans fancy a chinwag tonight I am meeting a group of supporters in the Roaring Donkey in Old Town at 7pm. All welcome.

Somebody get down there and ask him if he's enjoying stirring the shit!

We were completely dominant in the first half and it was a good job we got the goal when we did. They were much harder to break down in the 2nd half but we still created enough to really finish the game off. That number 5 couldn't handle Williams, De Vita had the better of Otsemebor for the majority of the game and we always looks threatening going forward. Flint had another solid game and Devera is growing more and more into the RB role. A lot of positives again today, let's hope for plenty more.
We couldn't really tell what Lewington got sent off for, all seemed like a bit of handbags to me. Shame it didn't stay 11v11 as it was much easier for us up until that point.

Thought we totally deserved the victory today. Battered them for the first half hour - at times they couldn't get out of their half. BBC said we had 5 shots (3 on target) in the first half but I listed 6 on target off the top of my head - all over them. Think the red card is one of those where it could be red, could be yellow, but Lewington was stupid for doing what he did and knew the risk he was running. Then the goal finally came - a lovely ball from Ritchie which Collins apparently flicked home.

Second half we didn't really get going. For play to Franchise for battling but there wasn't an awful lot of quality on show and they very rarely looked an attacking threat, despite our play becoming increasingly disjointed.

Ritchie was OK today, but wouldn't have given him MOTM. I thought Flint was immense, whilst Williams worked his backside off and deserves a goal soon. McEveley didn't have a great game, hopefully it's just a one-off.

Bring on Stoke Reserves.
