Thats Derr Vita and Derr vera .

I take my hat off to these two players,i have always rated De Vita but thought Devera was on borrowed time last season.

Both players have shown commitment and plenty of balls to get through tough times.

They are an example for other players to follow who get messed around a bit with regards to team selection,De Vita is quality and will suprise many in Lge 1 i reckon.

Devera lets not forget was player of the year at Barnet and has come on leaps and bounds as a player since those first few shaky matches.

At a time when players get a lot of stick and rightly so in some cases i think these two should take a bow.

I though De vita was MOTM last night.

Very impressed with both!

not sure why everyone is so surprised that Devera is doing a decen job at right-back, it was his preferred position at Barnet.

I also thought apart from his first game or so, where he looked out of his depth, he was very good at centre half.

Noticed again last night how many defensive headers Devera made especially from set pieces/corners. Also thought he did pretty well trying to link up with Ritchie and I'm sure if he continues to play at right back he will improve game by game on that side of things. Echo the compliments to De Vita too.

When Devera first played for us he was deservedly dropped - like a rabbit in the headlights. when he came back, he was bloody good. I'd pick him ahead of Flint and is a good right back in a Jamie vincent sort of way, although he linked up well with Ritchie last night. Also produced one really good bit of skill on the touchline in the 2nd half Ritchie would ha ve been proud of. would

Agree with everything said here.  Both players are doing well.  I just wish the two cunts that sit behind me would stop groaning every time De Vita gets the ball, they then shout "go on De Vita do something."  This happens every time, even when he scored last night they had a moan about his position.  That is all.

Agree 100% with this, but my old man wasn't impressed with Devera for some reason - senile old git!

A strange comment from the DRS shortly in to Tuesday's game towards De Vita. "He's only playing because he's Italian." Usual moaning about 5 mins in to our home season.

De Vita was my Man of the Match on Tuesday night, the best i've seen him play.
Not only was he dangerous going forward, he helped McEveley and covered him whenever he went forward and the two linked up pretty well, and got a cracking goal to boot.

Devera worked his socks off and looked absolutely fucked toward the end, great work ethic and a really good player.
If he can improve his heading in the opponents box he could bag a few goals this season too.

Will be interesting to see if Roberts takes De Vita's place on the left wing when he's fit, I haven't seen Roberts play yet so can't comment on his ability, but De Vita has proved he's worthy of his place as first choice left winger.

I thought De Vita was pretty good last season too, except for that spell right after Di Canio proclaimed him best left sided player in the league Smiley

Much more of a solid/steady eddie than a Rooney so I guess he isn't going to get the same plaudits. His first touch is generally very good too.

Viva De Vita.

Technicly Raffa De Vita is the best player at the club.

I sit in the DRS and made that very comment...It was said in jest! Some fans in the DRS really need to lighten up...

And yes I have registered purely to reply!!
