am i the only one who would be fine with a point?

Nope. Shame we missed a pen, but Hartlepool away has never been an easy place to go. This team will get better too.

Would have taken a point before the game. Big shame about the pen.

Nowt wrong with a point away. Clean sheet as well.

Difficult to comment much beyond that. Terrible commentary, didn't know what the fuck was going on much of the time. I did learn that you can see an old warship from the ground though.

Agree with this.

Most disappointing thing about the pen is missing the target, if the keeper saves it then you just have to say well done to the keeper.

Oh well, just have to beat Crawley on Tuesday

I'm not in a great place to judge (didn't watch or listen today) but Miller was completely anonymous against Brighton and has missed a pen today. Why oh why is he preferred to Ferry???

First game back in League 1, an away point, not too shabby

They should have let Caddis take the pen

Point's great, shame for Miller to miss on his league debut, but hey, it's been an odd day for penalties all round, so I think slashing his tyres is a bit unnecessary. Still rather have Ferry though.

I know absolutely nothing about what went on in the match however, as STFCplayer was cacking awful and every time I did actually hear a bit of commentary it was about a ship, or the ground, or the fact Di Canio's looking very tanned.

Got to be looking at Ferry starting, Roberts in as soon as possible and Collins a run-out.

But - sort the Caddis situation out

Good result by the sounds of it considering the pressure we were under at times. Glad to see the defence remain as tight as ever despite the change in personnel, that really bodes well for the rest of the season.

Back at Fortress County Ground on Tuesday. Win our home games and draw away and we're champions!

It's not a bad result... was hoping for a winning start, but that's our furthest game out of the way. Always annoys me when any pro misses the target from 12 yards, so that's a negative. Midfield sounded lost, maybe Ferry could start Tuesday so we haven't got a completely new centre.

Got to be happy with a clean sheet away with a new team.
