Town gear up for Weston test

TOWN boss Paolo Di Canio is hoping his side’s hastily arranged friendly at Weston-super-Mare will give his players the chance to quickly re-acclimatise to English conditions.

Can't make it in time from work. Don't forget your bucket and spade. Oh wait, this is Weston-Super-Mud, forget it.

I've no idea what that means.

I won't be going but it will be interesting to see how many make the trip. A fair few I would guess.

I'm going.  It's been way too long since I've seen any live football.  It will be nice to see the new players in action.

Fair play to those that are going, but I can't see the attraction in a 2 1/2 - 3 hour round trip to a dump of a ground in the pissing rain to watch a pointless friendly against a shite side on a wednesday evening.

I can understand attending pre-season friendlies, but not when there's so much travel involved. Doesn't seem worth it

I will be there of course Mr Pumbaa, hoping the weather will improve for the game.

Of course.

For some reason, I saw 'Big Bird' and thought of this...

I live in WSM and can get to the CG in about an hour. Bogus Dave has a point though.....

Beware of the roadworks on the M4/M5 around Bristol and allow extra time if you're travelling from Swindonia later.

My future father-in-law  offered to take me and I duly accepted. He's a City fan so I was quite surprised.

You've seen Weston play before then, obviously.
