I'm announcing at a swimming gala at the weekend. For the fastest qualifier final heat we normally play a bit of music and introduce the swimmers over the top of it.

In the past I've used tracks such as Prodigy's Omen. Last time I used Swedish House Mafia's Greyhound.

Wanted to use something different this time. Any recommendations?

How "different"? These are pretty run of the mill, but have a similar feel.

Alex Gopher - motorcycle (wet clutch mix)

Oliver Moldan - Five Five Zero

Blendbrank - Synthetic Symphony

Not a full length example, but it's all I can find on my phone.

Am not getting it with those....Don't seem sporty enough. The thing I like about Omen is that it almost starts with a quiet bit then kicks in with 'big splash' and then moves into a frantic and powerful tune. I can almost see it as an audio representation of a short sprint....Or is it just me?

So what does it need to sound like? What I mean is fast, big, loud, electronic, uplifting, nasty, you know what I mean.

Don't really know what your looking for, but seeing the songs you've already used I thought I would go quite similar.

Any good?

Am liking the Chemical Brothers song and the Avicii one! Not sure it beats the start of Omen though.

Might use it during warm ups - Although I got a complaint from parents and grandparents when I played something a bit 'wild'.

Play 'Fucking in the Bushes' and be done with it...

Surely 'Eye of the Tiger' will suffice?
