I don't think the air tattoo has any bearing on the town center. Roads might be a bit congested if your coming from cirencester direction, but you won't have any other problems.
Though I doubt this is an entirely legitimate concern.

There is panic buying in the supermarkets, cars littered on roads where people have decided to walk rather than wait in the endless traffic jams and Swindon council have brought in the army to attempt to keep order.
My walk to work this morning took me past a camp for refugees from Wooton Bassett who have been uprooted due to the disruption and chaos!
God help us all.
