Getting a bit sick of them now. 3 a day minimum, don't want to change landline number as I like the one I've got.
I've tried asking them to remove the details from their database, as they always ask for previous tenant, but no luck.
I asked an indian chap where he was calling from the other day, and in fonejacker style he was saying 'Regent St in London Sir', so I googled them, and no company registered there, under pressure he then hung up.
Another chap I asked which company he's ringing from he said he wasn't calling from a company, but wanted to know about the ex-tenant's credit card payment, then hung up. Which leads me on to another question.
The ex-house owner seems to have wracked up debt, and I think is still using this address for shop cards etc, any way I can stop her from doing this. Got an London Congestion charge through for her the other week, so her car's still registered to this address. Not sure what I can do about it, any thoughts?

Ha Ha Nemo, I like that. Might change the 'kill you' to 'kiss you' at the end though.

I assume you already signed up to the TPS. Which won't stop all calls (those outside the UK), but stopped a fuck of a lot for me. Nothing to lose as its free, takes a while to filter through the system. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.htmlWith regard to the other, its a hassle but I suggest marking the unopened envelopes "not residing at this address, return to sender". Not much else you can do really. Just tell the bailiffs they don't live there when they turn up to repo your TV.

Yep, already registered with them. Problem is the silly bitch who used to life here wracked up the debts, so loads of shit debt recovery/PPI recovery type firms call.

Sounds like a headache. All you can do is to write to the various creditors and tell them really. Pain in the ass though.
Though I think the "return to sender" approach is probably the best option.

There was something on panorama about this earlier in the week. It was kind of on in the background but apparently these companies never remove you from their database even when you ask.
Might be worth watching it on Iplayer in case it has any hints of getting rid of them.

Done the return to sender thing for over a year now. To be fair the bloke's stuff has now stopped, but her stuff that keeps coming through.
Going to start winding up the cold callers though.

OK, cold caller wind up #1 - ask them to hold on a minute. Put phone down and periodically check to see how long they hold on. Don't forget to have the high score table nearby.

We have caller id on the phone so ignore international and withheld numbers!! My message on the recording machine states that we do not accept calls from witheld, international or unavailable numbers - but we will always ring you back if you leave a contact no. and short message. Strangely they never do leave a message!!

I'm suprised debt collectors haven't been round thinking the old occupants still live there, surely her giving a false address for herself is a crime in itself. Once you stop her doing this the calls you are getting should eventually dry up.
