Perfection is not attainable

« on: Monday, June 25, 2012, 09:05:19 »

Sadly passed away after fighting cancer for a year at the age of 23, I remember him at Liverpool as a youngster was very highly regarded before wanting to move back to Spain, no age at all to die RIP.

I thought this was a Homles-esque spelling of Mickey Rourke.

Very sad indeed though.

Whilst undoubtably sad the fact of life is that at some stage you will die. As it happens to all of us is it really neccesary to post a "RIP" for somebody that we may remotely heard of every time that somebody dies?

That's my point of view. Should I not make a point on a forum? Your point is that in this instance you have taken the trouble to say RIP about a bloke that you read an article about.

Personally I was more gutted for Alex Hales, considering that he was bowled on 99 yesterday, than I am for a spainard who died (no matter that he happened to be a footballer) yesterday.

I think it was mainly due to the fact the guy who died was 23 which prompted the rip

Just read that Puyol paid for all his cancer treatment. Fair play

On a similar note Edin Dzeko recently saved some kid's life in Bosnia by paying for some medical treatment he needed urgently but couldn't afford.

See too many footballers get a bad rap, but not all of them are greedy bar stewards.

I read that Yaya Toure gives away 2/3'rds of his wages to charities in Ivory Coast.
