This news has just been on Sky, Bury say they would welcome any investment but would want to still be known as Bury. A decision will be made in the first week of July. Can't see how this will ever be given the green light and is just wrong.

I can't see anything close to another Franchise fiasco being allowed.
I also think it's unlikely FWIW but I'd be very wary of putting your faith in the football authorities. They don't have a strong track record when it comes to demonstrating an ability to learn from their mistakes. What they tend to do is assume that "now the fuss has all died down" no-one will mind so much next time. Never underestimate the capacity of a national (or especially international) football administrator to be quite staggeringly wrong and on multiple occasions in multiple ways. |

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to merge with Berwick Rangers, join the English league pyramid (which no one could really oppose), then move back to Glasgow in a couple of years? They could even pay £2k compensation to each Berwick fan and still have change from £1m.
