I think it's brilliant.

I hate Cardiff.

More and more increasingly football just becomes a horrible business. I'd like to think Cardiff fans protest by not attending, but unfortunately they will probably sell more tickets. Xenophobic or not, I never want our club in foreign hands.

I have dispised them ever since that cup game in 95 when they trashed the place, but that's not the point

My Cardiff supporting mate has said that this could just be a publicity stunt to get people talking about the club, maybe the only thing they have just changed is the badge. Can't see it myself though.

They did trash the place and do at every ground they visit, they have pretty much the most despised fans in the league much worse than Lids and Millwall, I hate them too even though I have 4 mates that follow them home and away.

I've hated Cardiff since living in Swansea for a bit.

Are they Wrexham in disguise?

Banner relating to this bizarrely at an Austria Salzburg game:

Evidently showing support having been through a similar situation when Red Bull bought the team and changed their kit colours.

The funny thing is that, as a marketing exercise, it's doomed to failure.  Here is a list of the English clubs that have serious followings in the Far East:

Manchester United
Liverpool

Man City, Leeds, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea...hardly get a look in.  And Cardiff's owners think that a new badge and a change of colours will get them to leapfrog that list and make Cardiff a big name out there?!  No chance.  Not now, not ever.

Edit: OK, you have to look past the fact that Cardiff is not 'English'.  Point stands though.

The artists formally known as Austria Salzburg have won quite a few Bundesliga titles since Red Bull bought them so I doubt the anger is that strong nowadays.

As a side note: Anti-Mike Ashley songs ended at Newcastle games as last season progressed (despite the stadium name change et al), funny that.

The Asian conquest will no doubt fail but the money that they'll throw in as a result of this venture could see them make the Premier League before they ultimately abandon it and sell the club.

Not that it makes the change of crest and colour justifiable.

I read somewhere a month ago, when this was originally bought up, their Malaysian owner is/was a Man U fan. He's now got a red a white kit (like Man U) and the nickname is the Red Dragons...a bit like Red Devils.

Now I'm just waiting for the name of the stadium to change to something like Old Trafford !!

Surprisingly mild comments on here though considering...
