There's no way a re-brand like this would be embraced by Town fans (especially given previous moments of Town fan hysteria Smiley)

Also, the bluebird looks like an afterthought.

a re-brand could generate more success on the pitch

Yep, see Leeds.

Is blue Cardiff's historical colour anyway? Thought they'd already changed their kit once before.

I don't think the bluebird is indigenous to Wales, or indeed the UK.  Vera Lynn got it wrong as well.

Show was just the warbler, youd have to blame Nat Burton for the lyrics - an American.

I would be pretty pissed if I was a Cardiff right about now. The investment is consolation, obviously. But the way the rebranding has been done is shocking... Blatant lying to the Cardiff fans saying it wasnt going to happen then that it was ect. The fact that the investers wouldnt put money in unless they rebranded (totally uncommited to the club) and that the actual rebranding is fucking awful. "Fire and Passion" What the fuck!? What on earth does that have to do with Cardiff, Wales or even football for that matter!? + Sticking a bluebird on like an afterthough like somebody else mentioned? What the fuck? If your going to rebrand just do it properly, do the whole thing or dont do it at all. Just seems like a half arsed effort that will all end in tears when these owners will (probably) rape the shit out of their assets and make a killing on the club, leaving it just as fucked as before with a badge and kit none of the fans want!

Sounds a bit xenophobic but if these owners were British perhaps the whole rebrand would be more acceptable. As they would be able to held to account more easily if indeed they are doing it for the wrong reasons, and the rebrand would perhaps have been more relatable to Cardiff. I mean, if Wray and co wanted to change our nickname from the 'The Robins' (which I dont really care for) to 'The Moonrakers' or something similar then i'd be all for it! But Mr Kung Lao or whatever took over and wanted to change our name to the 'Super-mega global pokemon team' then i'd be royally fucked off regardless of what money is involved.

Just a sign of things to come i'm afraid! Dissapointing, but inevitable.

Bluebirds are American, and don't migrate here....fuck knows why anyone thought they'd be flying over the white cliffs of Dover.

Dover is the state capital of Delaware mind....does it have white cliffs?

If I was a Cardiff fan, I'd be livid. Not just at the rebranding (which craps on the identity of the club) but also because, as often seems to be the case these days, the existing fans are sidelined in favour of the "emerging markets".

It shouldn't be a surprise, I suppose; the existence of the Champions League, Premiership and Franchise instead of the European Cup, First Division and Wimbledon respectively tell us all we need to know about where football is heading. In a way, it's sadder that this is no surprise at all. How long before a team is based outside the UK? It'll happen, I'm convinced of it.

To be fair, the bluebird is equally shite in their previous badges too.

it won't matter, as the re-branding will ensure a full stadium every time.

I did read somewhere that they have 26,000 red seats on order.  So yes.
