It is good to hear.

I have a niggling doubt in my mind that the board are allowing themselves to be bullied a little by PDC in the transfer market. Stuff like this is quite re-assuring as it suggests my doubts may be wide off the mark.

To be honest Paolo has a budget to work to as well and I doubt he even wanted to use that much against someone like Holmes.

Certainly didn't show me enough to warrant paying over the odds for and risk pissing off others in the team.

A good decision.

We have Rooney who no doubt will improve. Can't Bodin also play on the wing, presuming he stays of course

I'm pretty certain Bodin won't stay. My money would be on him going to Torquay (as opposed to Turkey - which would be ever so boring and unfunny).  PDC seems to be quite keen on wide players and seeing as how we just got shot of Esajas and Gabilondo I would imagine we would be looking at getting someone in. On that basis I would say we could do a lot worse (and possibly better than Holmes) by going for McGlashan from Cheltenham.

Was impressed with McGlashan in the PO final, so yeah why not

From talking to Chelt fans, McGlashan is inconsistent.
As could be seen from the PO games, where I thought he did well, he's tricky and quite pacy but his crossing is far from great and he's a bit lightweight, going down too easily.
Wasn't over-impressed with him in either of his performance at the CG this season but is still young so plenty of room for development.

Levi Porter being touted on that wank rumours site, winger I believe. He was shit at Leicster IIRC...

Seem to recall Gills fans saying the same about Rooney

Is there such a thing as a 'consistant' winger though Hmmm

Matt Ritchie is probably as close as you'll get in the lower leagues.

It has thanks Lee, it's been ridiculously hot, although thunder storms are forecast towards the end of the week.
