Is it just our neighbourhood or are there ants everywhere at the moment?! Inside and outside the house. No ant killer seems to kill them.

Damn things.

The one I've got works but there just seems to be a lot of them at the moment. It has been quite mild recently. I hate the cretins.

Bloody things have actually bitten holes in our plaster and wooden doorframe in the conservatory. I didn't realise how destructive they are.

I bought something called Nippon, I think, that is a sticky fluid that ants love to eat. Put a large drop or 10 on a piece of plastic near the holes and they eat it, take it back to the nest and wipe the colony out. It's ace.

I used to surround a hole in my kitchen, where I saw some disappear down, and they would consume, in their hoards, vast amounts of it. Within a week, no more ants.

But they do become immune to it over time.

Anyone know how to get rid of red ants in a lawn?  I have 5 or 6 nests front and back and they are making a right mess.  Have tried ant powder, gel and boiling water and the little fuckers are still there.  Any advice would be appreciated!
