The best team won tonight easily which was a shame for the neutrals.  England have a lot of catching up to do.

That is one hell of an understatement!

Spain 4 - Italy 0.Nothing to do with football. It's the number of jobs available in each country.

Wow what a way to win it, 4-0. Best international team ever?

Certainly the best I have seen.

The bollocks being spouted by the BBC pundits last night, was embarrassing in the extreme. Certainly Spain saved theri best til last, which is a good trait, to get you through a taxing campaign, but v Portugal in the semi, they were pretty dire, and rode their luck, something that most tournament winning sides have to do, at some stage no matter how good.

Spain are a fine side, which is hardly surprising, being based as they are on Guardiola's Barca, who have re-written the book i the last 4 years....but they haven't got Messi, which means they are a bit less expansive, but similarly hard to beat.

They certainly the best around at the moment...

Presumably not live, as the final group games in each group are concurrent?

Spain were superb last night.  It was beautiful to watch how comfortable they are on the ball and passing it in tight situations.  Oh how I wish...

Overall i thought it was a very good tournament with a lot of enjoyable matches! Shame to see so many empty seats at the majority of games though

Spain certainly deserved to win last night and put on an impressive show. Can't help wondering how different people's assessments of Spain would have been had Croatia taken one of their chances in the QF though...

I really enjoyed the tournament overall.  Most of the matches were entertaining, it wasn't bloated like the world cup (and what a shame that they are increasing it to 24 teams, it could ruin the European Championships ), there were very few sendings off (3 I think) and a general atmosphere of fair play and open football.  For me it was the best tournament since Euro 2000.

I thought it was a good tournament, but not as good as 2008. That tournament was possibly the best ever in my onion. Spains rise to prominence, Holland and Russia's boom and bust approach, Turkeys mental run.

And no England to spoil any of it

A really good tournament, but as Bogus Dave says not as good as Euro 2008.
