The Times reporting that Oxlade-Chamberlain is in. Pleased with that one.

Downing has played in every game for England this season.

Why exclude him now?
no goals & no assists. I am suprised there hasn't been a call up for Matt Ritchie at left midfield.

He's going and we should therefore deal with it.

Hart, Green, Ruddy, Johnson, Jones, Terry, Lescott, Cahill, Cole, Baines, Walcott, Downing, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gerrard, Barry, Lampard, Parker, Young, Milner, Defoe, Rooney, Welbeck, Carroll.

Fail.

It's a weak squad.

I would've expected 2 out of Barry, Lampard and Gerrard not to have gone.

Uninspired but not surprised. Still hope Roy gets them playing decent, effective football but not confident.

You're dreaming Samdy. This is their final hoorah, of course they'd all go.

Panic over. Jordan Henderson is on the standby list.

Not a bad squad in my opinion.

Starting XI along the lines of:

Joe Hart

Glen Johnson
Gary Cahill
Joleon Lescott
Ashley Cole

Ashley Young
Scott Parker
Steven Gerrard
Theo Walcott

Andy Carroll
Jermain Defoe (Rooney when available)

That doesn't look bad to me at all.

I would like to know the reasons for not taking Richards, and taking Downing.
