If portsmouth go out of business what will happen to league 1 next season, it seems that they still do not have a buyer and could well fold in the next few weeks . Will the league promote some one else from the second , or cancel one of the relegated teams demotion. Shame really as it is another derby match as well.

Been discussed in a different thread. They just take one team away from League One.

How in the name of all that is good and holy is Swindon-Pompey a derby?

Hampshire v Wiltshire is only possible explanation for that thinking.

You would have to be simple to think like that mind you.

Fratton Park is the same distance from Swindon as Villa Park (both 84 miles, +/- a mile or so).  So no!

I'm guessing redjed was thinking in terms of away attendance rather than actual proximity or rivalry - if so, he has a point.

Perhaps redjed is just geographically challenged.

Perhaps redjed is a researcher from the BBC "local" TV show Late Kickoff.

Perhaps redjed lives in Pompey and for him it's a bit like a derby?

It's still not a derby though is it, whether we take 200 or 2 fucking million.

I wish they would promote an extra team from L2.

That way, Oxford would have only missed by one place, and the recriminations on the Yellows Forum would go into total meltdown
