Looked very good when he made his debut as sub at Stevenage...that was about it really...

That was the only notable performance I can recall.

Agreed and could say the same about JML.

Gilbert started against Newport and was absolutely woeful, then was no better at home against Colchester a few weeks later - which probably sealed his fate.

He was a backup striker/forward signing on last day of the window, but he's shot shy so is not a striker.  He also seems too indecisive and cautious to play the no 10 role and we have plenty of them anyway.

Can run on the ball, so perhaps winger would suit, but what the fuck do I know, he's still young so good luck to the lad.

Parsons is coming back from Chippenham covering for Gilbert’s departure until a replacement is signed.

If Barry is supposed to be that player it could be a while until he arrives.

I imagine that’s also taking Payne’s injury into account. Barry will be here before Friday.

Hope Payne is fit for Friday as he deserves it, who will be captain if not? Hunt?

Often outnumbered, never outgunned.

Can't say I'm surprised as he's hardly been playing recently & the new lad started over him on Tuesday, probably the final straw which broke the camels back. Can't imagine Huddersfield were happy about that. Squad is now looking thin!

Defensive depth is very low now for sure:

Conroy
Odimayo
Hunt
Iandolo
O'Brien

Baudry (Injured?)
Grant (Leaving? Primarily a midfielder anyway even if he could do a job)
Minturn (Youth, at Chippenham?)
Winchcombe (Youth)

Not great when we play 3/5 at the back more often than not.

The defence picks itself for now with no real competition for places. Hopefully the two Bens have contingency plans
