Smith missed a sitter in the first half so I suppose he started
Or was it Smith and Obika?

That is a side that should have done a hell of a lot better than it did

A turgid 90 minutes.
To be honest the 5-5 dampened my expectations pre-Preston.

A turgid 90 minutes.
Didn't think it reached the heights of turgid. Firmly in the realms of abysmal.

Would be a very good signing, I have been impressed with him the couple of times I saw him this season. Very calm just lacking a little pace, but then so was Calderwood and Taylor.

James Brophy has definitely improved since I last saw him so I retract my call for him to be released.
I still think Traore, Robert, Balmy, Marshall and Cooke are done.
If Town have an option on Miles Storey, they'll take it in order to get a bigger fee. Same with Kasim and Smith.
Brophy, Iandolo, Sendles-White, Barry and Obika to be offered new terms.
I wonder what they'll do with Hylton who has a year left? I have an inkling he might be transfer listed.

Hylton is a funny one. Not done very well, but been hampered by injuries and long spells down the pecking order, when he does get chance, by default he's either in a very weakened team, and/or up front on his own. Don't think anyone would buy him currently, but maybe a good pre season and we might see something next year. Maybe..

From my end, it seems as though a lot of these players mentioned suffer from inconsistency.
They'll start of being slagged of as utter shite, then improve to become promising players that could make a difference next season, only then for them to become shite again and unfit even for L2, then improve to....... the cycle starts again.

I think inconsistency is what stops good players becoming great players, I used to watch a lot of Northern Premier games and there were players there who were as good as anyone in the premiership on their day, but that day was limited to about 2-3 games a season, whereas the best can do it week in and week out!.

I'd imagine Hylton will head off to FGR now, for a season in the Conference on loan. Would be a good move....
